dollop-meaning

Postby skygazer » Tue Jan 07, 2003 7:17 pm

dol-lop - n. 1. a large lump or portion, as of ice cream. 2. a small quantity or splash of liquid, as of whiskey. 3. a small amount: not a dollop of truth to the story. (orig. unknown) ref 2nd college edition the american heritage dictionary

hell, i'd be willin' to bet the origin was somewhere south of the good ol' mason dixon. :)

Shoe-Goo has worked well for me too. Have a couple of repairs that are going on two years & still not leaking. It's inexpensive, easy to use & it works......any questions? 8)

try the hodgeman lakestreams..I love mine..My old canvas ones lasted for 8+ years..

As much as you hunt, you've already put a year or 2 of wear on them :D .

I've got a pair of LaCrosse Super Tuffs that I've used for over two yrs, and they just started leaking in the seams around the crotch area two weeks ago. I bought some of the lacrosse wader repair with some neoprene patches to cover the adhesive, and they haven't leaked since. I've heard that lacrosse has a 5 yr warranty on their waders, but I dunno for sure. Andy, if you come up, I've got the stuff that will fix them for good.

Wildfowler...If those waders you have are lacross FLYWAY series..Then I can help you..It seems that 5 of us bought those "New' waders when they first came out about 4-5 years ago...They seem to fade after half way thru the season..Well to make a long story short..Lacross had a flaw in making these waders on the assembly line...I sent my 3 rd pair back (due to fading), and the outer fabric wearing and tearing...Needless to say, Lacross didnt want to warranty the 3rd pair for any reason, BUT since I brought up the fact I new they had a defect in the production line...And STRESSED this....They asked me what I wanted ( to make me happy ya know that spill)..I replied Brush Tuff in size 10...You name it..I got it...And I'll tell ya..They have been damned good waders so far! Additionally I sent Lacross a letter in the box of returned waders stating all of this and NOT to send me another pair of waders like the same I returned to them..AND if they couldn't get me a dependable pair that would last longer than half a season..NOT to send those waders back...myself and another buddy got replacement waders...yes w/ brush Tuffs..the other guys just went and bought new ones...Hope this helps...
I may go to Heaven, or I may go to hell....But one thing is for certain..It'll be after Duck season!!
