Best Choke With Best Pattern?

Postby RB » Wed Sep 25, 2002 3:14 pm

I just bought a Benelli M1 Super 90 and I have always used the normal factory chokes with my Benelli Nova. I was wondering what the best aftermarket choke would be for steel shot. I normally shoot a full choke with lead shot for dove and upland game but I would like a choke for the farthest shot with the best pattern since I am used to shooting a tight pattern. Any help would be appreciated.

I'd try a light modified with steel shot.

I shoot the '90' also and all I've ever used is the factory modified. I'd be interested in some other opinions on this too. How 'bout it boys?

P.S. WHY DON'T WE TRY TO PACK OUR WATERPROOF JACKETS NEXT TIME, THAT HUNT COST ME A DAY OF WORK MONDAY(NOT THAT I CARED TO GO ANYHOW)

I hear you MB, but you were the one knockin' 'em down. Every time that pump spoke I saw a little teal bird fluttering down. Maybe I should try those dryloks. I got a pretty good spot or two myself, we'll have to swap out. Later....... 8)

I've got a sweet 90 also. I had it backbored by Ballistic Speciality and have all the chokes from cylinder too full. I do believe in after market chokes. It is worth the money. I think the Ballistic Speciality is the best on the market. 8)
Then again I only shoot winchester shells, I think they are the best on the market 8)
Then again I only shoot Benelli, SBE, and Super 90. I think they are the best hunting shotguns on the market 8) 8)

Then again I think in five years of hard training Greenhead22 will be able to out shoot Gulfcoast.

Delta Duck.... Where is Ballistic Specialty? Do they have a website?

I just see alot of aftermarket choke manufacturers claiming they have the best choke....those that go from 20-25 yds.... 30-35 yds.... and 40-45 yds... just wondering if anybody shoots these and what kind of results they are having.

Greenhead22 Before you try GC you need to beat me by 10 targets. I take care of GC's lite work.
