SOS Weimaraner In Need of Rescuing

This is mudsucker's wife. There is a full bloodied weimaraner tied to a fence in Pearl. He is 7 months old. The owners are trying to find a home for him. Apparently, the original owner had to move into an apartment and couldn't keep him. This owner gave the the weimaraner to her sister. She put him in the back yard and he started jumping the fence. Now he is tied to the fence and is seriously malnourished. A neighbor let these people know that what they were doing to the dog was wrong and she was not going to stand by and watch it. They agreed to give the dog away to some one who would take him.

I am tender hearted and I can't stand the thought of a dog being tied to a fence in a back yard. I can't stand the thought of the dog being malnourished.

Can some one tell me about these dogs? What is the chances of finding a home for a dog that has been mistreated the first 7 months? Is it too late to train him? Do they characteristically get along with smaller house dogs? Please let me know if anyone is interested.

If you need some help PM me some info and I can get it to a good shelter that will make sure it goes to a good home. You give a $40 donation to the society to pick up animal and sometimes that works out better than giving it to someone that may neglect it. Same principal applies to selling a mutt for $10 bucks instead of just giving them away to "good home".

no luck here, shelter may be the best option. If I had more land, i would take him.
