Youth Turkey Hunt

Postby waterfowlwidowmaker » Mon Mar 12, 2007 7:45 am

Anybody get a chance to take a Yute huntin??

We took a 10 year old on his first turkey adventure saturday morning. To make a long story short, that 10 year olds family will be eating turkey breast for the next few months!!! Awesome hunt and I got the whole thing on film.

You talking about 1 excited little boy. His eyes were as big as saucier plates. He was in a daze for a bout 20 minutes after it happpened. He kept saying, "Oh my Goodness, oh my goodness".

It was pretty darn funny...

That's great.
It is good to see the young getting involved in the outdoors.

I'm impressed that the young man killed one of those Hard to hunt birds on opening weekend. He must be one fine hunter.

Congrats to him and you for taking him.

This was one of those "special" birds that could be labeled as an "easy" kill. Not many places for him to go and we have been watching him in on the same power line everyday for the past 2 weeks.

I wish they were all that easy, especially when you got a youngster in tow.

That is great, and no matter how much you know about one particular bird, they are never totally easy! Good job with the youngin'!
