Decent hotel in Jackson?

Postby Jeff » Sun Aug 19, 2001 6:19 pm

Hey ya'll, I am gonna try to meet Shelly halfway next weekend in Jackson. Can any of you all reccomend a hotel that is faily nice meanin' I won't need a gun to check in and it wont have hourly rates that is also not super expensive? I know some of the chains are reputable, but sometimes you still get a bad hotel with a good chain. Any reccomendations? Thanks, Jeff

Hey Jeff,
There's a Comfort Suites at County Line rd. and I-55 on the west side of I-55. I stayed there for 3 months straight and it's real clean. Rates are pretty good too. You can probably get in but if not there's a Courtyard nearby and a Homewoos suites. They're good too. Hope this helps ya out.

Try the Shoney's Inn on County Line Road. I've stayed there twice and had no major incidents. Fairly clean too.

Try the Red Roof Inn right behind Shoney's. It is clean and cheap.

There are several hotels to stay in. Most are on the I55 and most are on the East side. Just drive along until you find one that looks good. Pickens' are slim once you travel past CountyLine (heading north) and Northside (heading south). Hilton, Marriot, Shoneys, There are even a few down town but are probably more expensive.

i have stayed at a lot of motels in Jackson the past 6 years and my word of advise, " stay the he## out of the west side of town"... i prefer the ones on 55.. and don't get far from there unless you know where you are going.... i like the ones that are in sight of the KRYSTAL sign...haha...

Hey judge is right, stay close to I55 and you will be alright, cause theres more crime committed in Jackson than in Bill Clintons office.

I stay in Jackson 5 to 10 nights a month, and prefer the Cabot Lodges (County Line and Millsaps) and the little Mariot sort of behind the Hilton (I forget the road).
