No the ones we caught were ok. She has had bad experiences in the past with larger ones. She had to admit these last ones were ok.

Well, I jes gotta chime in on dis one. Being raised on da bayou in Cocodrie, I have eaten my share of each. Now, I been followin this board for several years and this I do know; Jeff and mudhog knows there fishes being coonasses like myself. My wife and I loved the halfshell recipe, but tried something different a few years ago, and other than fried, I don't eat 'em any odder way. Fillet em just like you gonna fry em, don't leave nottin on 'em. Put them on a baking pan lined with foil and melt you some butter (real stuff, not margerine) and pour on top of each fillet. Now youse get some emeril's bayou blast and coat em real good wit dat. Put your oven on 350 and walk away for 12-15 minutes. Come back and pull dem babies out and turn your broiler on HIGH! While it's gettin good an hot, cover them wit Italian breadcrumbs and parmesean (freshley shredded is best...NEVER use dat crap in da green can) and put dem back in de oven. When it looks like dey is burnin, pull em out. Serve with some wild rice, salad, bread and a nice glass of wine. Promise you, you'll never go back! One more thing I've observed over the years I watched you boys grow up...GH22 is a dumbarse!

It's better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.
