09/04/06-This morning's hunt.-Geese!

Postby Chris Smith » Mon Sep 04, 2006 12:05 pm

We tried a new field today... We had three different hits with the first two doing us wrong. The last bunch was a group of seven that gave us two chances. After the first volley we had two on the ground... The best part is they came back wanting more... As they set wings out over the field, we talked them into putting their big black feet down over the decoys. Just before the lead goose touched the ground, Stephen called the shot and we dropped three more. If we had to pick a group to shoot, this was the group!

The spread...

The goods...

This one is for you Ramsey...

He made me do it...

So far, it's been a pretty good season... If it will keep going at this pace, we will be doing alright!

Yes, it was in Mississippi...

The Finisher/NeoTub is a dealy combo in shallow water... If the water is a little too deep for the NeoTub, try stacking a few pallets under the blinds.
They will never know what hit them... I shot a Green Winger out of a Finisher last year at about 10 feet... Needless to say, it wasn't pretty.

I may go and scout some holes this evening on some public ground... We saw about ten Blue Wingers from the road this morning. Now, if the ones here will just stay around, we might be in business...
