Hated to hear about it, shocked that it happened the way it did. Don't like stingray's but I went swimming with them in the Caymens as well. Doesn't look like such a bright idea anymore...

the stingrays yall were swimming with, are probably tame enough that they dont mind. From what i understood he swam over one that was a bull stingray, something like 220lbs. From what i read they normally dont attack unless they feel threatned and the camera man was in front of the stingray with steve over him. He just did what nature intended for him to do, steve was just in the wrong place is all. sad that it happened.
