Sod Man word of advice, I will not buy NIKON products from now on. THEY ARE CRAP. I own a buckmasters that has been a good scope. I got a Nikon Monarch that my wife bought me for christmas for $400 that last 3 shots before it had to be sent back (it works fine now though) and I bought a Nikon 440 Rangefinder with a basspro giftcard I got in Jan. this year. I picked it up out of my hunting closet last week to range some bow targets, its not working. I go and buy a new battery for it suspecting that the problem and it turns out its not. This is the last straw for me with NIKON. I guess that what I get for buying something that says MADE IN CHINA.

I would try The Outfitter or Van's locally.

As far as Nikon stuff goes, I have had several Pairs of Monarch binoculars and a couple of Nikon scopes and have NEVER had any problems with them, They are just about the best glass for the money that's out there. (In my less than humble opinion)

There isn't a lifetime warranty on their rangefinders. Its a one year limited warranty.

I was talking with a coworker about this post since I kinda got slammed for saying Nikon was crap. He said he thought he had a lifetime warranty on some binoculars. Sent them to Nikon and they sent him a not that the warranty was voided due to the moisture in the binoculars. He was like thats why I sent them back. They sent him a bill, it quoted the amount to fix it would be more than he could have bought them for new now. He learned the hard way about Nikons Warranty too.

I was talkin to 37 coworkers yesterday because Nikon's quality had come into question, and thay ALL had nothing but good things to say about their Nikon binos and rangefinders. None of them had much of anything to say about the warranties though because they hadn't had any problems to begin with.

I guess one maybe two people could be unlucky, but that could happen with ANY brand, and very few people who use Nikon products have any complaints.
