Wife caught her first fish yesterday at the spillway on the Rez. The kicker is she learned how to throw an open face reel and on about her fifth cast caught one. I was surprised she could throw it. Only one bird's nest and she only got hung up in the rocks a couple of times. So she's hooked on fishing now, woohoo!, just need to get her a duck this year and we'll be set to buy whatever toys we want.
Yes she was wearing flip-flops walking on rocks but you all know how well women plan ahead.
Were any on you out there catching stripes yesterday? A group on the east side of the spillway was wearing them out. No big ones for them but most were about 3-5 lbs. We only caught smaller ones.
