Bringing it back up. I've got some nutsedge and another variety of weeds growing in my zoysia. Am I reading this thread correctly that I need Trimec Plus or MSMA to get rid of these weeds?

Nutsedge is tough to get rid of. Image knocks it back pretty good and you can pick it up at your Co-op.

MSU may not have weed, but they do have the best INFO on turf grass.
This link near the bottom of the page has some table's (adobe) Table 11 contains a listing of turfgrass tolerance to herbicides. http://msucares.com/lawn/lawn/weeds.html

Tables 12 and 13 list weed response to preemergence and postemergence herbicides. These tables are useful to determine which herbicide(s) best controls the weeds present.

I doubt a chemical dealer will ask for a license for just one jug of 24D or MSMA. I use CPS crop production services.

Oh and read the label!! And use a good anti drift surfactant or crop oil. I like the crop oil best.
If you burn your turf don't worry it will come back as long as you didn't do something really dumb.
My yard zoysia has red spots in it right now from spot spraying lespedeza and some crab grass.
I tried to knock it out the first treatment so I don't have to follow up.

Permit, Image, Sedgehammer.....in that order. may have to take a loan out for Permit

But Zoysia can be easy to kill so you better ask an expert if any of the three will toast your Zoysia
