We have a pretty popular WILD GAME COOK OFF every year with about 70 close friends. Two years ago a fellow brought some snake, I just can't remember what kind he said it was. It wasn't to bad but I don't think I would want to go order Generals Chicken and get Generals Kitten.

The Bolivar Commercial broke the story with the headline "Shelby police take snake off local menu", then The Cleveland News Leader, the BC's only competition, burns the BC for saying chinaman was gonna SERVE it to customers. The news leader claims snake is a delicacy in China, and he could have cooked it for his self. They said since there was no concrete proof of his intentions to serve it, then it must have been racially driven ideas on the BC's part. Regardless, ya ain't gonna find me eating there!

By the way, this ain't a baby cottonmouth either. The picture in the BC showed the skinned snake and it was over 4' and bout as big around as a coke can.
