Pumping water for !

Has anyone pumped water in ditches or low places in there dove fields?

Man it is dry up here, Them doves have got to have a drink! :wink:

I have not, but it might a good idea. It's dry everywhere. I have not seen many dove.

Everyone around here are cutting small ditches in the middle of their fields, using a center pivot to fill it up.........and the birds are flocking to them like crazy.

a few years back it was dry and the watering hole next to our dove field dried up, so we walked the center pivot around to the ditch and give it a good drink every afternoon that the pivot was not already running and we had a helluva hunt. you got to have food, water, and a good roosting area or no dice.
