how do you place your stands

just curious on what makes you place your stands a certain way.

what direction do you place them?
What Wind directrion do you plan to hunt them?
How far from the trail/ food plot/bedding area do you put them?
how high?


i'm going to be hunting from a lock on this year for the most part.

i've alway's faced them east for the sun in the afternoon
hunt a north wind, but that don't happen to much anymore
25 yards from the trail
15 ft. much higher and i don't feel to good.

hunt downwind whenever possible with sun at back. I love the sun at my back.
