when i was at state, we were bow hunting on the refuge and a buddy of mine wanted to go so borrowed a bow he had never shot up until lunch on the day of the hunt, went to wal mart and bought some camo that still smelled new, and didnt take a shower before going hunting that afternoon and still smelled like cologne, and he climbed a RANDOM tree in a borrowed ole man climber and killed a doe thirty minutes later on his first trip with all borrowed equipment--if i'm lying im dying

I've been bowhunting since I was 15, went with my cousin to Columbia to Waldo's and bought my first PSE. I guess that was around 86-87. I can't remember the first deer I killed, but I remember the first on I shot. A great 10 point, 25 yards broad side, fixing to jump a 4 strand fix to leave a corn field. I popped him dead square in the front shoulder, right where you'd want to put a bullet. I never recovered that deer and still have vivid imaged in my mind. I wish I would have kept a log over the years to see how many I've killed. If I had to guess, I've averaged 4-5 deer past 15-18 years. Probably between 50-70. Couple of good bucks, maily does.

I guess I have killed 10 to 12...not sure how many. Mostly bucks, and 2 does. In addition, I have killed 2 mule deer does, and a cow elk. One hog and one javelina.
It's better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.

Yeah, I'm an addict I admit it...course after discovering duck huntin' everything else fell by the wayside. 'Course bowhunting is nice because it never interferes with the ducks

B-80 what part of the Peach state are you in...I may be able to point you in the right direction. Used to be some good deer in Ga. and I'm sure there still are, just don't have population of a state like MS. and you've got 3 times the amount of hunters....
