CWD

Postby jacksbuddy » Mon Jan 24, 2022 11:02 am

Just to let y'all know. A buddy of mine is a game warden (yeah, sometimes it pays to be on their GOOD side), and he told me that he was called to a subdivision in Madison, MS because a deer was sitting in someone's yard acting strange. He said the deer was just sitting there with his head wobbling around as though he was completely out of it. I know they have CWD in Warren County, but this is inside the city of Madison!

Imagine if this deer had been in Jack-town, he'd have probably become the pet of some homeless guy on West St.

Speaking of West street...

Used to get a good lunch at CS's. Don't know if I'd venture over there now. Sucks for Millsaps that the city is dying.

What do you mean 'dying'? One evening after work, I took a wrong turn going home and found myself driving along the ruins of what looked like was once a great metropolitan business district - shops and stores, along with office space, etc. Now completely abandoned.

I imagine in a hundred years, National Geographic will be sending explorers into this decayed relic of the zombie apocalypse.

Yeah that's true I went to Stewpot a while back to deliver some food and was struck by how much of that side of Jackson is just dead but was still alive 25-30 years ago. The signs are still up for the abandoned office supply stores. Even had a Ferrari dealership over there.
