I’m not sure I understand what y’all are saying?

Yes I know the world has been in chaos and a lot of people here at home ate out of work or are in the process of losing family businesses due to lack of revenue because the local government has chosen to close the economy down.

I heard this week that Tate Reeves is considering going mask usage in the whole effing state. why the F didn’t we do that back in March?

My wife and I went out to eat and sat in a restaurant for the first time last Saturday night and if we have to start wearing mask I’m probably not going to go in any place of business.

I don’t get this?

^^^You are not alone.^^^

This new normal is taking everyone back, and making EVERYBODY reevaluate their lives - professionally, societaly, and personally. I mean, how long has it been since you actually went to church? What does your work look like? If you were off due to this pandemic, how glad are you to get back into the swing of things? And how hard of an adjustment was that? How is your family holding up?

Sure, it was nice to have the kids at home - - - for about two weeks. But home schooling is a pain. And I for one cannot wait for school to start - and it's only June! Meal experiments have pretty much run their course at my house. Everyone needs to be able to see their friends once in a while, but that hasn't been happening much. And I have done every single 'project' at least once, and sometimes more than twice.

I am quick to say that it will get better. But let's face it. It had better do so pretty d@mn fast....for everyone's sake.

Y'all be safe and have a nice day.
Nobody owes you anything.

What you are seeing is just how big of a factor the media plays in our lives and how they drive the narrative. Months ago Covid 19 was all they could talk about and all the lock downs. I assumed based on numbers we would be soon locked down again but now I don’t think that will ever occur and this is our new normal. Cases are going up and going up quickly in some areas just look at the map simply in MS. Who would think Jones county would almost be leading the pack in cases?? One day this week there were 500 new cases in one day. This isn’t going away. But turn on the news today and you would think it was gone!!!!!! Hardly makes a blip now because other issues now seem to take the forefront. The Oklahoma trump rally should be interesting. You can protest but can’t go to a political rally?? It can’t be both ways. People are willing to protest and people are willing to go to a rally full well knowing the risk so leave them alone. It can’t be either or. All or nothing is it. This November will be the most pivotal of our lifetime.

The problem that I see is “the scientist” that the media wants us to base all of our trust in have been wrong at every stop along the way.

I don’t trust what they’re saying about this.

But you’re right. The MSM has a stranglehold over much of the country to have gotten us where we are today. They are definitely doing their best to control what we all think.

I don’t know why, but it sure seems like it is a one world order they are gunning for. Almost sounds biblical when I say it that way?

The MSM/DNC/RNC-Rino’s/Deep state conglomerate wants us divided. They want us scared so that they can control us..... Possibly to lead us into a socialist govt?

I am certain that trump is standing in their way. If Hillary would have gotten voted in, the whole country would still be on lockdown. Only after the Las Vegas shooting, we would have had our gun rights severely restricted well beyond loosing bump stocks.

Public service announcement:

I drive a 2018 GMC sierra which has just over 100,000 miles on it.

At 46,000 miles, 14 months ago I had to replace the fuel pump in the fuel tank which cost me almost a grand.

This week, the fuel pump went out.

Initially they tried telling me it was the high-speed fuel pump which is a second fuel pump on the vehicle that I didn’t even know it had, but then conceded yesterday after keeping it an extra day that it was the same fuel pump in the fuel tank.

The reason these fuel pumps are going out is because my truck has no gas cap when you open the gas fuel door.

Apparently the redesign has a glaring flaw and it’s a known issue but not enough to prompt a recall that when operating the vehicle in a dirty environment you were very likely to contaminate the fuel in the tank.

They told me they went ahead and paid extra to recompleted remove my fuel tank and thoroughly cleaned it and they retrofitted my gas door with a regular gas cap now.

I would estimate that my usage of my vehicle for 25% of the operating time is off road. (not mileage but hours of usage)

Food for thought.

If you’ve got that same type of capless fuel door I would encourage you to put a rag or something behind the door to try and cover the fuel opening Unless you’re 100% pavement usage.

GM is really pissing me off with these fuel related issues. My last truck had some sort of contamination issue regarding a vent line that is leading to some sort of fuel vapor recollection system that made it exceedingly difficult for me to even put fuel in my truck without the handle constantly getting clicked off.

That was a total effing pain in the ass since I put about a tank of fuel each day or certainly every other day based on my mileage.

I hate the thought of it but there might not be another GM truck for me in my immediate future.

Thanks for listening. (The three of you)

Haha

Is anyone calling their state representatives this morning to tell them they should agree or disagree with changing the flag.

Call my rep this morning, B. Blackman D. She’s in favor of changing the flag.

I personally don’t think it needs to automatically become the Stennis flag.

Why does it have to be her design why can’t we allow some other contributions to be brought forth?

Thanks for heads up to the fuel issue and a solution. I’m looking at buying and older GMC for POV.

I notice SB glosses right past the porch party mentioned earlier here.

Hahaha.

The link Joel gave me is for a Dodge and I couldn’t find something similar for GMC but I measured and ordered a bearing buddy rubber cap that I think will fit over this nicely.

I don’t know if I mentioned this above or not, the dealership put on some POS locking plastic cap that doesn’t even have a rubber gasket or anything. so far every time I’ve gotten out to pump gas I have to cuss myself for not remembering to turn the truck off and remove the keys from the ignition so I can unlock the SOB.

Hopefully a bearing buddy cover won’t cause a vapor lock or other fuel issues?

Andy, we're using 5 old body style 2019 GMC Sierras and have been running through fuel pumps, due to no cap (even with a rag/stopper in the hole). Boll Weevil trucks, so plenty of dust every day. All have had a fuel pump replaced once and another is on its second replacement.
The fix is to install the old style filler neck with a cap on it. It is available from GMC, but we're waiting for warranty to run out before making the conversion.
Experience is a freakin' awesome teacher...

I know I’m not the smartest person in the room but it makes sense to me that the real fix for the fuel pump problems just to go back to the old way of doing business that worked beautifully for the last hundred years.
