Coronovirus

Postby jacksbuddy » Tue Mar 03, 2020 8:31 am

Ok, DS Braintrust. I have a question for the learned minds of this board.

What all are you doing, if anything, regarding COVID-19? Are you making any 'preparations'? Sticking your head in the sand? Yelling at the talking heads on the TV? Drinking more (alcohol IS a disinfectant)? Etc?
Nobody owes you anything.

I’m not fully decided yet, but I feel like the media is trying to make this as hyperventilating against Trump as they possibly can?

I keep hearing prominent people in the know saying it’s not any worse than a “bad” flu. The flu has already killed thousands of people this year alone.

It’s particularly hard on the elderly and people with underlying health conditions, I’m not sure I’m going to jump right up and be first in line to receive a vaccine if they put one out which is supposedly near completion.

I always carry Clorox hand wipes in my truck to clean my hands after pumping gas, entering local establishments, etc. I also have a daily routine of using a Netty pot to flush my sinus cavity due to my propensity to develop sinus infections and I know this routine will help keep contaminants out of my system. It’s not fool proof, and it’s not the most pleasant thing to do but it definitely helps me on a daily basis already.

In general, You don’t want let your skin get too dry from over cleaning, allowing cracks to form in the skin which would allow and even easier access for the virus to enter your body.

And last but not least for general health, train your self to stop touching your face with your hands.

Sold all my equities waiting for a bottom then catch the sales getting back in...need good stocks that pay 8-10% dividends. Bond funds are up! Sportsfans!

Buddy at work bought every $1 bottle of hand sanitizer at every dollar tree in 40 miles. Listed it on ebay at the going rate of about $12/e.
Looking for 2 duck calls from Dominic Serio of Greenwood (ones for Novacaine)

Probably the same "turd-cutter" that was buying up all the 22 ammo a few years back.
I am interested in purchasing duck calls that were made by Mike McLemore. I am a family member and they have a sentimental value.
