One of these days I’m just going to have to invite myself and show up on one of your arrowhead hunting days!

Walking creek bottoms chasing these damn turkeys I always take a minute and look. Having no luck finding either of them lol.

I liked that first one the best with the striped coloring. When it said Pickwick or Benton, is that the location where you found it or is that the name of the stone it was made from?

Nice video!

This is just fascinating. To think that, that many natives, made that many arrowheads and shot them at something that many times over the course of, well who knows how many years, and we're still finding a bunch of them, it's just incredible. There's just no telling how many are out there.

I have tried to walk some creeks when it's dry, and I'm always looking in fields, but nothing.
Them ducks is wary. We now resume our regularly scheduled forum melee in progress.

Just think like an ancient and you will find artifacts. How long can you live without water? 3 days max so you better live close to a good, reliable, clean source of fresh water. But you can have to much water in a flood so better find the highest ground but still close to the water source. You can keep your camp above the rising water and high ground is always better to see a threat coming your way.

Got to think about life before dams, grocery stores, friendly neighbors, game laws, etc...
Got to think like it is you with a rock and a stick to feed you and your family.

Found some more nice arrowheads the other day. Here is the video.
