Putting Chokes in a Barrel

Postby hillhunter » Wed Aug 15, 2018 6:54 pm

If you have a fixed choke shotgun, how much does it cost to have a choke system installed. Which ones would you recommend and any recommendations on people you've used would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance

FWIW- I sent a barrel to Briley years ago and it was 150. I just used the Briley tubes with it. I would call and check on the price, but hopefully that gives you a starting point

It can vary quite a bit depending on what gun/barrel you have. Try Ed Graham in Ingomar, he is a real craftsman especially with older guns (and has a treasure trove of old Browning parts) 662-316-0981. Richey Crew just up the road from you in Algoma is also good. He's pretty backed up this time of year but does good work.

I had a 20 gauge barrel for my son shortened, retreaded(only got one briley choke with it) for $85. I couldn't buy the bit and tap for that price to do it my self.
