I remember 8-10 years ago on a hard freeze we were hunting a public spot. It was somewhat crowded and the ducks were really using a 200 yard stretch if that. There were 3-4 of us hunting. 3 of us took our own boat, got there early and spread out. One on the n end, one the south and one in the middle. All with bright lights. As the other boats would come by wed shine em. They kept going. Right before shooting time we all joined up. Had a great hunt.
