what can i plant this late?

Postby gps4 » Mon Oct 16, 2017 8:12 am

just now got my deer food plots clipped and disced. i plan to go back up wed. to spread seed.

i've got one plot probably 1/4 acre and 3 plots about 1/2 acre each. i was thinking about doing wheat, turnips and clover on each. however, i do not want to do turnips and clover if it is too late to plant.

any suggestions on what and how much to plant in each plot?

thanks in advance.

Any of the typical fall stuff can still be planted. This isn't too late at all. Turnips may not do much

Yeah you are fine with wheat and clover. We actually never plant ours until September or October. That way we never have to worry about army worms or the droughts we seem to always get august through September.
