Sago Pondweed

Postby duckhunter328402 » Tue Aug 15, 2017 11:49 am

Has anyone here ever had any luck planting sago pondweed in MS? We tried it this year in a beaver pond but haven't been back to check on it yet.

For best results, stock beaver pond with silver carp and plant cogon grass around the edge.

Plant it?

The stuff is awful once established. I won't recommend it. Don is pretty much telling u it's a very bad idea.

But who knows. Throw some pigeeed with a mix of mares tail around the edge and the mix may be awesome. I for one wouldn't but That's me
If I don't do it, I ain't gettin nun.......So i'm doing it

Thanks guys. I have done a lot of research as far as it being a beneficial plant for ducks. Some say it is literally the number one natural food for ducks. I just didn't know if any of you all have tried it in the past or hunted over it. Not sure if it will work this far south. Thanks again.
