What is the going rate to pay a teenage sitter for (twin 7 year old boys) during summer break?
Job will be 4.5 days a week 36-40 hrs.... let me hear what y'all are paying?

We have 2 sons that are 9 and 10 now. The past 3 or 4 summers we've done that. We've paid anywhere from $160/week to $200/week.

Last year we paid $150 week but we usually give her 20-40 dollars more b/c she helps us out running kids to events while I am out of town.

Also one thing to be aware of, make sure you and the baby sitter are on the same page. Our first year we used a young lady whose mother liked to travel and out of the blue her mother (which is a good friend of mine) would call and say we are going to the beach for a couple days (etc. etc.). That really put us in a bind several times. With our new babysitter she lets us know up front. If you find a good baby sitter shower her with gifts also. We give her nice birthday/Christmas etc gifts.

Peewee we are looking for one for this summer if you come across anyone in our neck of the woods.

My daughter was paid $200 per week last summer for 2 kids. One of which was a hellion & she said it was not enough. She turned down the same position this year (mostly because of said hellion).
