One thing I remember hearing...... make sure nobody in the group has a DUI on the books.

If you're flying you'll need a hard-sided locking gun case. You CANNOT use TSA locks for this. Only you may possess the key or combination for your lock.

duramax, DoubleR2, and Anatidae would be your best resources on this question btw, if you want to shoot them a PM.

Have all your paper work filled out before you get there. It will cost you $25 to get gun across. Went last year bear hunting. Wasn't bad but we also crossed at 2:00 am. Also make sure your bank cards and credit cards have been changed over to international.

And dont be real chatty...................they dont have a sense of humor. No jokes, all business.
If you have a enhanced carry stamp on your license...........you will be questioned but be cool.
2 of my buddies had their enhanced on their license and spent an extra 15 minutes of during questioning.

Why do you have that?
Why do you think you need it?
Would you shoot someone?
Have you shot at someone?

You'll need to fill this out. Non-resident firearm declaration.

you can't pay the fee with american cash once you get there in the airport, needs to be credit card, or canadian.

save yourself the headache and have the form posted above filled out correctly. and locked hard case.

i've never had an issue with TSA locks but i didn't travel in 2016, my experience was 2013-2015.

Driving across the border guns can be in a soft case. Flying obliviously needs a locked (with key) hard case.
