I've got a question for the Forestry guys onboard here.

Let's say you just planted a tree in your yard and wanted to water it by hand.

If when watering by hand the entire root network does not get water will a corresponding portion of the tree die from lack of water, or does the circulation system within the tree provide water to the entire tree if even only a portion of the roots receive water?


Specifically, Thuja green giants.

It would be more likely that part of your root system has been damaged. The water typically should be spread around the tree pretty good as long as it is getting enough water overall.
