tell me where to buy a new boat

I'm a simple man needing a simple, indestructible river boat. My wants are WELDED, Flat bottom, 14 X 48 or comparable. Most boats that size I find are riveted and most welded are semi-V. I think I may be on to something at Emmitt's marine in Brookhaven, but I haven't been able to get down there yet. Any where else I should check?

Are you sure you want a riverboat that is a 14x48? That's a mighty tipsy boat for any place other than a farm pond. Weldbilt isn't a bad boat for the price if you're not going to abuse it. I would strongly consider a 16x50 or so at a minimum. I used to think that smaller boats would get you into more places, and they certainly have their place. I had a 1652 that I recently sold and bought an 1860 that I can still get in just about anywhere I want to go.

1448 will be fine. I ran a 1440 for a long time and now run a wareagle 642. Just be mindful of whats going on

Thanks guys,
I have another big boat to use. This one would be primarily for the Big Black River during summer time (really low water). I already have a short shank 4 stroke 15HP for it so that probably limits the size I could get. I currently have a 14X36 riveted boat, so a 48 would be an upgrade. Last year I ripped the eye out of the front of the 14x36 trying to pull it up the bank, so that's why I'm looking at the welded, more heavy duty type boats.

In that case get some coonass to weld you up a 1440 out of 1/8th inch aluminum
