toyota service dept?

Postby donia » Wed Mar 01, 2017 6:53 pm

which is your favorite, and most competent, toyota service department? time for my 100k service plus a few other things need to be repaired. i have no confidence in the competency of the dealerships' service departments local to me. I'll be renting a car while it is being serviced/repaired (ac blend door i hope is all and not entire core, fingers crossed**), so i don't mind driving a bit.

You want a dealership, or the best Toyota mechanic around?

both..either. along with timing belt, all fluids replaced front to back, etc associated w/100k service, I've got a front diff bearing issue that i'm thinking dealership is gonna balk at, again. while still under warranty told me it was a tire issue i was hearing and that i was more sensitive to noises since i drive it daily...wouldn't look further "we'd fix it for ye if it needed fixin', i promis'shue". put it in 4wd and the noise goes away, so not cv or wheel bearing, hence inside front diff. also think spent .40 cartridge blocked blend door on ac and broke it, but have had foam pieces blowing out of vents, so hoping it isn't a dash removal, blend door and heater core replacement. have seen many posts on toyota forums about same issues that led to the expensive route.

What kind of vehicle? Reason I ask is the best Toyota Landcrusier mechanic around Jackson is Rob Wilder at 49 tire. Guy is good and does good work. Not sure about warranty work, but call him up and tell him I sent you. He completely rebuilt my motor when I blew a head gasket and its solid. He's done my front axle rebuilds and other stuff.
