Metal Portable Building - Where to buy

Postby SB » Sun Feb 19, 2017 9:08 pm

Looking for a metal potable building to use for storage. Any recommendations on who to do business with or not to do business with? Located in Jackson area. Any reviews on Big K at Byrum? Thanks

Have you looked into 20 ft and 40 ft containers?
I priced several wooden buildings recently for storage of stuff..........prices were steep. I could actually build what i wanted cheaper.

I got prices on container worthy and road ready metal containers.
20 ft (water tight/varmint tight) $1250 plus delivery from Memphis
20 ft ( almost new) $2000 plus delivery from Memphis
40 ft -used $1500
40 ft-almost new $2500
Im gonna get the $1250 version and build lean to off both sides for parking and additional storage.
just a thought.

I had not thought about the idea of a shipping container, at least not for this application in which the building could end up somewhere in the back yard. With the container I could put back in the woods. I wonder what the HOA would have to say about a container be put on the lot? Ha! We hope to be moving within the year, so I was considering buying a portable building instead of renting a storage unit. Those things are high!

A container is a thought though. It could always be moved to the farm later I guess? Could a roll back wrecker move a 20' easily? Can you have problems with moisture in them, sweating?
