Food Plots

Postby JW520 » Fri Oct 28, 2016 9:43 am

If anybody needs wheat for food plots I still have a good bit left and need to get rid of it. Message me here or my cell number is 662-415-8382 for info. Any out of town guys, I can meet you if you need it one weekend when you head to camp. Josh

at this point I'm wondering how late you can sow wheat and it come up? My plots are cut up but bone dry and no rain at all in the 10 day forecast.

In the Central Delta, I've planted seed wheat as late as Dec. 1st, without any problems.....made a crop just as good, as the Oct. planted wheat.....just a little slower to germinate.....just keep the water off it, and it will do fine.

Old timer's saying about wheat is, "Wheat don't like wet feet."

This year will be late no doubt but it will not be the latest we have ever planted it. Hopefully it all works out. Good luck to y'all this season
