What are your thoughts?
On dick's dropping scentblocker because of a gospel card being put in sleeves on products?

Unlike GH22, I've never liked Dicks to begin with.

I'll take a stand on this....I'll never set foot in a Dick's store, ever again....I looked back at my credit purchases there, last year, and it was over $1,100, and that's not counting the cash purchases.....they'll never get another red cent from me, ever again.

If Dick's Sporting Goods wants to make an economic decision based on religious doctrine, that is their right. However, they must not become upset if others of us do the same.
By the way, do they know just how many outdoors themed companies espouse Judeo/Christian principles? (Trijicon, Duck Commander, at least half of the promotional television programs on the Outdoor channel, etc.) You get my point.
I just can't help but think that, if this is in fact true, they are pulling a "Target" type stunt. And we all know how effective and well received THAT fiasco has been.
Food for thought.

Re: What are your thoughts?
It's their business to run how they wish and I could care less how or why they choose to carry or not carry certain brands. Won't change my shopping at Dick's, which is rare to begin with. However, I can't say that I have much respect for the likes of Scent Lok or Scentblocker anyway. Both companies have lost major lawsuits for false advertising. Regardless of religious beliefs, snake oil salesmen eventually get what's coming to them and there ain't no amount of gospel cards gonna change that.

Must not be too big of a deal for Dicks as they still have the products for sale online. It does look like they have a lot of it marked down and trying to get rid of it. The article said that they plan to completely eliminate all Scentblocker products from the floor products. They did not mention eliminating from online business. I have not been in Dicks lately but I will check it out. If they tell me that they have stopped selling it then I will take all of my business to Academy just down the road.

I never put much stock in ScentBlock technology anyway. Hunt the wind, and you won't need to spend an extra few hundred bucks on clothes that you really can't prove whether or not they actually work.
As for Dick's, they are free to do as they please. I rarely go in their Flowood store because I still prefer to shop at Discount H&F.
