While Obama is golfing and fundraising, the good folks in LA need help....at prayer meeting last night, our church voted to send the local LA Salvation Army a donation....perhaps some of you good guys here on DS are members of churches, who might be able to afford a donation, as well, no matter the amount.

Here's the address of the local Salvation Army headquarters....be sure to write "August 2016 Gulf Coast Flood" on the check.

Out church carried a whole trailer of canned good down there yesterday. I forgot the name of the church we are partnering with but it's in Baton Rouge

Our church is heading down this weekend with work crews and supplies. There are a lot of really good folks in a JAM over there, and no attention from the "national media."

I failed to mention that local chapter of the Salvation Army will also serve the needs of those counties in southwest MS, which were affected by the floodwaters.
