There used to be alot more frogs than there are now. I go quite a bit, it's one of my favorite things to do, but the last several years we have been catching less and less. I don't know if it's cause more people are doing it or something going on in the ecosystem...maybe those dam carp having something to do with it. I'd still rather go froggin all night and not catch anything than not go!!

Champ, when Brett gets his new boat we are going to go a bunch. The water being up and a slick clean bank have me optimistic. I do agree with 420 that there aren't as many as there used to be and I do think the Asian carp have to be partly to blame.

Y'all crazy. We smoke em most weekends down here. Maybe y'all froggin in the wrong place. And vickers, if you want to ketch a frog, you got to grab him by his SAC! "Ketch" is for the d-bag that commented on my post last time I used that word in my native tongue. Eat a Pecker. Halla

Tell me why In LA you can frog hunt year round except in April and May and on our side of the river in MS you can't hunt frogs until April and only thru Sept. So the only two months when you can't catch them in LA (April and May) MS decides to open the season (April 1)??

I get that, my question was a bit more rhetorical...as in why did the brain surgeons in charge in MS decide to have a season starting at that time??

Yep, tagging died. As to frogs, we see a lot more cranes, white and blue, I think that has somthing to do with lower numbers
