New Orleans or Nashville?

Trying to decide where to take my wife for a long weekend getaway. It's been almost 10 years since I was in New Orleans and neither of us have been to Nashville. What y'all think. I need some pros and cons from those who have recently been to either destination.

Nashville.....it's a whole lot cleaner & safer than New Orleans, and if y'all have never been there, it's a great city that y'all will certainly enjoy.

Nashville for sure!
I stay in Franklin @ the Drury Inn Plaza.
Franklin is a cool town and a short drive to Music City.

Just depends on how much you and your wife like cheeseburgers. Thats right i said it cheeseburgers! I love how every time i type cheeseburgers, DS converts it to cheeseburgers. I love cheeseburgers but i hate cheeseburgers, know what i mean?

Nashville is clean and safe. Fun stuff to do there for sure. Nashville doesn't have the food and vibe of NOLA, nor do you get that thrill that behind any corner you may be stabbed by a crackhead. There's plenty of great places to eat. Where to stay is 100% down to your budget. Downtown obviously is where you will probably want to go for nice dinners. Hotels are going to be more expensive though. If you stay downtown, you are within 20 mins from anything you'll want to do in Nashville.

We just got back from Nashville, and had a blast. We stayed downtown at a VRBO condo for around $250 per night. We were 1 1/2 blocks form Broadway and the Bridgestone arena. Saturday we drove down to Lynchburg to Jack Daniels. That was a blast. Also went to a Predators game Saturday night.

If you stay in Nashville and want a great steak or anything else, I suggest getting an Uber ride over to Kayne Prime. I like both cities, both for different reasons. I was somewhat unimpressed with the country music hall of fame. Rascal Flatts was in there, but that's a topic for another day. We stayed at hotel Indigo last time. I do think Nashville is much cleaner as everyone else stated.

You talkin about them regins? Not a big fan of them and it probably wouldn't be acceptable to walk around the quarter with a 1911 on my hip either would it?

This is where we stayed. We also ate at Kayne Prime, and it was the best steak I have ever eaten. Pricey, but the best EVER!

Here is another that is cheaper. The building is very secure. You have to have a card just to get into the front door and the garage.

Its been years since i visited either. However I distinctly remember feeling much safer and having a better time in Nashville.
New Orleans food was much much better, however the odor of vomit and the presence of crackheads diminished my enjoyability
