Read 'em and weep boys! 6 hunts, 11 birds. Probably could've hunted more, but didn't really see the point. Hey, at least it was consistent.

Based solely on birds killed - 1
I'd have to check but I don't think I hunted more than 10 days all season, so that stunk too. Never too a scald and had a great last 2 hunts with some old buddies. We didn't kill much but had one hell of a time. I'd say a solid 4.
I am interested in purchasing duck calls that were made by Mike McLemore. I am a family member and they have a sentimental value.

1 being generous. I hunt with my wife and son. They are my constant partners. I would have quit going before Christmas if not for them.

I would give it a 5. Early in the season we always do good, especially opening day and the 2nd split. The water of course went crazy and we did good but not great in the timber. If there would have been ducks around we would have burnt them up, but what do you know there wasn't. We still drug out around 20 a day for about 5 days then they left.

Mid season was awful. There were about 2 weeks that I knew when I got up that I wasn't going to kill over 3.

End of season finished up decent, but again not great. Had the big snow day, then a few decent days in January.

Good things over the season.
Dog picked up her 1,000th bird.
Dog made two 350 yard plus blinds on one whistle.
Offered a fair chunk of change for my dog. Made me nervous, and I should have sold her, but I didn't.
Hunted with a guy that said you couldn't work specks, that I was wasting my breath. Killed 5 of them about an hour after he said that.
Had one of the best hunts ever with my dad.
Killed 2 bands.

Got to hunt with both my boys for the first time in a LONG time. Killed a few this year. But this was the highlight

Started out a 1.5 ended strong. Shot limits of mallards in our woods solid from Christmas down to the last Sunday. Most were killed at close range and out of the same few holes. The tutor hole and the Y. Killed a band opening weekend and saw my camp roommate flip over another. With the bands and woods killing I'd give it a a firm 9.5.

Already looking forward to next season!!

Didn't go unless the weather was at least decent. That knocked 70% of the season out to start with so only got to go 7 times.

Going to give it a 3 due to the limited opportunities.

Solid 7-8. Was able to hunt a lot of ground that was new to me, didn't tear anything up major, and our 10 person club had a very solid season while being in public timber 99% of the time. Spent time in the woods with family, old & new friends, and took my son on his first hunt…can't ask for much more than that.

7-8. Mostly good. Some fields just never produced. Always saw ducks.
