MEMS putting locked gates on Ms River launches
Re: MEMS putting locked gates on Ms River launches
Louisiana has a great website that shows state owned lands and waterways. It helps with sort of thing.

well looks like the state of la claims that shoot. I promise if you got a ticket the head man of the land office would sit in as a witness to defend the fact la owns it.

I wish I could use my computer to type but oh well. The LA Office of State Lands does claim a lot of water. I have done A lot of research and map making etc around an oxbow north of Vicksburg when a few years ago east carol parish deputies were writing trespassing tickets. I pissed some folks off got kicked off the mdwfp board (that's when it was up and running). I have a lot of good information. It helps that I deal with water and wetlands and maps for a living though.
As far as the topo goes.... It is a good approximation and reference document. They are a far far cry from accurate. Just saying. If your referring to the "connection" between Gilliam Chute and the lake. I just looked at some old aerial imagery and found that as of April 16,1952 that "connection" was there. So it's been there for A LONG time no matter what
