Any suggestions on how to break lead into smaller pieces?

Have some 3 pound ingots that are round/oval and need to cut them into 3 or 4 pieces to fit in my Lee melting pot. What have ya'll tried?

If you have some large pruning shears, aka limb lopper, and can get a bite, they'll work.
Them ducks is wary. We now resume our regularly scheduled forum melee in progress.

Get your a hatchet, sit it on a big solid peace of wood. Lay the blade on it, and wack it with a big hammer. A couple of licks should cut it in half.

you could prob use a chop saw or miter saw as well.

Torch off a little at a time into the pot.
