The Bear Hunter

Postby 3spop » Thu Dec 03, 2015 11:57 am

I'm just getting into this book and it is a very enjoyable and interesting read so far. Great details of life in the delta in the 19th century.

I thought this post was going to be about that guy from Hazelhurst that got busted for poaching in Alaska.

The author is an attorney and has represented me. He was writing the book and asking questions about Bobo brake. I want to get a copy and he said he would sign it for me. Sounds like a really good read

Just got my signed copy for Christmas.............started this morning and will finish in a few hours.
Cool history lesson on late 1800's early 1900's upper Ms delta.
Annis Brake, Bobo Brake, Bobo, Sunflower River................was a wooly jungle back then. Wish i could have riden a horse thru all that back in the day.

For all of you that read this book, also read Trials of the Earth....
Its set in the same time period in the same general location around Sunflower River, Parchman,Mississippi River before and during railroad construction in the delta. Excellent read.
