I don't know if a Shield would fit in a pocket well. I know it won't fit in my boot very well.

slacks/pants with wide slash pockets and bellowed pockets seem to work ok, but jeans are out....see a lot say they carry shield in cargo pants pocket pretty easily, but i don't see how, comfortably. mine flops all over, even in super fly holster.

I have been through this holster process a hundred times.. I have had just about ever popular holster made Crossbreed, Versa Carry, Alien Gear, etc. They are all good holsters but the hybrid leather/kydex ones just don't feel comfortable to me. It is a pain to take off both clips around the belt. I like a very low bulk holster. Here are some of my favorites for different styles of dress.



If you can wear your shirt untucked all the time even for work then this is a great option for about $35.00. If I buy a new carry gun I automatically one of these holsters to go with it,.

If you can wear your shirt untucked most of the time, but occasionally want to be able to tuck your shirt in for church or some other place then I would choose this one for about $55.00. Only down side is you can see the belt clip with your shirt tucked in.

I can wear either of these all day every day and even while I work in the yard. In fact because they are so slim, I no longer carry a single stack gun, but always carry a double stack gun now because I don't have the extra bulk of the leather in the hybrid holsters..

If you wear scrubs or workout clothes or other styles of dress where you can't wear a belt then this a great option.. Very light and easy to conceal under clothes. The only downside is if you do wear this under clothes like jeans or slacks you can still see the bulge off the gun under tighter clothes...

If you must wear your shirt tucked in and dress up then this might be an option for you. I don't personally own one, but have a similar one and they hide the gun very well and are pretty comfortable. The only downside if you wear the gun in the appendix (similar to front pocket carry) position it will point straight out towards the person in front of you when you sit down.

I always get frustrated when I read these threads because I want to carry something other than a pocket pistol with 7 rounds, but just cannot figure how to do it completely concealed.

I have the same problem - just can't find an all-day comfortable IWB rig that doesn't stick out like a sore thumb. I can spot a Supertuck style holster on someone from 50 yards most of the time unless they have a cover garment.

Have you tried a Sticky holster? I have one for my 26 and am amazed at how well it holds. It's made of material similar to the superfly, and just tucks in your waistband or pocket. I can stick the 26 in the small of my back, strong side hip or appendix and walk all day and it never moves. Good retention, weighs nothing and its cheap.

Interested to know if others have used one and what their experience was.

I wear a tucked shirt everyday for work. The most comfortable option I have found for a Glock 27 is a Galco jackass shoulder rig. If you don't mind the weight you can easily carry an additional 30 rounds in two extra mags. For my body type (5'10" 185) it is completely concealable, the only trouble being the shoulder straps slipping close to the neck and being visible with a loose collar shirt.

I have yet to find a comfortable IWB holster for a double stack. My full size 1911 in a Tucker "The Answer" IWB is much more comfortable than the 27 in any IWB holster i have tried to date.

I know what I am about to say is against the norm or the rules for the professional gun people, but I carry a S&W body guard in a pocket holster in the warmer months when I dont have a fleece vest or a jacket. Yes, I know its a .380 and not a big pistol. I currently carry it in a DeSantis Nemasis holster and Im not that fond of it. It works decent but takes work to draw, plus after some time, you can tell the imprint of a pistol is in your back pocket. Talon holsters have good reviews and I think im fixing to order one.

In the winter months where I have a jacket or vest on, I carry my XDS .45 with the extended magazine in the small of my back. I know its not proper, but it works for me.
