Re: limpwristing, if you don't have one, put a $10 Hogue rubber grip cover on it. It "made" the pistol for me, gives just enough volume to the grip for normal hands to be able to control the gun without adding any weight or appreciable bulk. Takes just a few minutes to install, and the pistol is still smaller and more covert than my iPhone 5 in Otterbox.

Without the grip modification, I couldn't hit water from a boat with the LCP and was ready to ditch it.

Did the problems happen with a flush magazine or one with a pinky extension?

If the latter, your grip is pushing down on the very bottom of the magazine and causing it to bind up when cycling. I can make any LCP on the planet malfunction with an extended mag. I only carry a flush mag in mine now.

Good point Chevy. Also, the pinky extension makes it harder to draw from a pocket than flush. It does make the elsie point better, tho

It happened with both the pinky extension and a flush magazine. I think it is largely an ammo problem. The hollow points were hanging up even when cycle manually. Picked up some ball ammo and some Hornady critical defense yesterday and they both manually cycle fine. Plan to put a few rounds through it this afternoon and see what happens. I think that and polishing the feed ramp are going to solve it.

Colt Mustang Pocket Lite carried in a DeSantis P6 holster in my hip pocket. It looks just like a wallet.

The 1911 has been my weapon of choice for many years. Backing the hammer while drawing is like breathing to me. I still find myself trying to "back the hammer" on my Glock sometimes.

Tried my hand at a "fluff and buff" and it seems to have done the trick. I put several round each of hollow points, critical defense, and ball ammo through it with no problems. It'll cycle them as fast as I can pull that long heavy trigger. Problem solved hopefully.
