Deck Railing

Deck Railing

The wife is wanting to change our deck railing, currently we have 2 x 4 top and bottom with 2 x 2 spindles.

Any suggestions? Any help would be greatly appreciated

I'd love to do something like this cable railing, but with the style / age of my house it would look stupid.

To original poster. Modify your rail to look like the one in picture except where they have cable, use some sort of cross work pattern from 2x4
