I know several on here fish for cats at certain times of the year. Does anybody bait for them anymore? Is it even legal to do so?
I remember years ago people sinking dog food and such in burlap bags. Does anyone still make burlap bags? Haven't saw one in a long time.
Anyway, would love to hear what you use or someone you know uses and how they do it.
Thanks

So long as your aren't baiting them with Rotenone or electricity, you are ok. When you get that burlap sack, just pick up roadkill on the way to where you are going to fish. It has a little stronger odor than dogfood.

I made some last year. It's pretty easy, and not as smelly as roadkill (but does smell worse than dog food).
This is what I did:

So are you broadcasting that, or putting it in a bag to scent an area?

Heres what I did and had some success. Two five gallon buckets. In one I drilled small holes, can't remember what size, but large enough for a couple of grains of swelled wheat to go through. Probably did a couple hundred holes. Place that bucket inside one without any holes. Mix wheat, water and activate with beer. Let it "rest" for a couple of weeks. Then when I got to the hole I wanted to fish I simply tied rope to the bucket with oles, removed it from other bucket and sunk it. Worked pretty dang good.
