Anyone have any experience with these things? Other than costing an arm and 2 legs...

Pro's and cons of getting full upper implants?

Donations and Prayers Much Appreciated!

A couple of my family members are facing the same decisions. I'd like to hear about options and solutions.

lower eye tooth after second root canal failed. not covered by insurance, even though it is one of the "pristine" teeth. bone shelf was chipped away down to the jaw bone to remove all of the nerve (knotted on the end so it wouldn't come out in tact) and repacked with bone graft material (glass only). first attempt failed, so redid the bone graft with cadaver/glass mix and it took. i'm told that in the (unfortunate) event that all other teeth are knocked out, it will be standing strong.

total pull and implants will be expensive, but extremely sturdy

I am a dentist, and I would agree with everything that deltaquack said. I would add a couple of things. I would highly recommend that you have an oral surgeon or periodontist place the implants. Also, if you are close to umc, I have had great success with the oral surgery residency program. They will save you half the cost of the placement of the implants. Finally, if you go with the All on 4 option, make sure that the dentist has a lot of experience with the procedure.

52 With bad teeth getting 6 post with 3 bridges, I hope... (Would have been cheaper to cross the Tallahatchie river! Maybe twice.)

I'm Just really not looking forward to next 3-6 months! Especially Next Wednesday.

After that I'll have a Million Dollar Smile everyday!

What is y'all's opinion on Implants and Shooting Sporting Clays? Should I go ahead and get a mouth piece just for added protection?

Had the procedure last Wednesday, still have some pain and swelling in gums on upper left, rest of it looks ahead of schedule... So says the Doc.

Drinking food is not fun at all, hope these gums get better soon! Then I get to try to get used to wearing dentures for the next few months! Permanent bridges will be September/ October...
