Persistence Cont.

I've had a good season, but this one takes the cake. Talk about a load off... My boy missed one opening week. Wasn't an easy shot, but stung anyway. He killed this one Saturday at 1-something. Told him when we walked out of the bottom, it had been 8 hours since we were standing there waiting on daylight. He's been on 3 hunts like that since the miss, so he earned this one. I've never seen him so determined to do anything. He pushed me to keep going a couple times this year and the persistence paid off. If you're looking for a challenge, try getting a kid a couple shots having basically 1 day a week to work with. Hasn't been easy for me, but worth it all for this.

Thats great. Congrats to ya'll.

Funny how once you get that tastes in your mouth, no matter the age, that its like a itch you can't quit scratchin. I know I sit at my desk M-F and wish like hell I was sitting against a tree, or chasing that "high". But those days of hunting 4 days a week are long gone.

He's got the fever and that's awesome. Thats the future of this sport, right there.

I just rolled back up and looked at that again. That is a great picture! Put it in a frame. You don't want to lose that one.

Thanks y'all.

Saw this old picture in my photobucket account of his first turkey at 7 (miracle) :) . Made me laugh. He is growing into them. Made it about 10 steps with that first one, and about 200 yds Saturday.

Thanks fellas.
You right Justin. Growing up too fast! 12 doesn't seem possible, and don't want to think past that..
If you and/or your crew ever gets close to C-town, better let me know.
