Going with forage beans provided we can get some dry weather.

Re: Summer plots
I mixed some clay peas and joint vetch last year - best summer plot I've had. they hit the peas through the summer - had most eaten down by bow season and that allowed the vetch to get 4' + and then they hammered the vetch in October.
Great combo and paid it off. took a nice 8 point this year off that stand.

I've decided to go with water holes this summer.
