Ask the brain trust computer question

Postby Seymore » Wed Mar 25, 2015 4:49 pm

For no apparent reason Firefox loads but will not pull from background. I can hover over the toolbar icon and see the small screen set to my home page. I logged off of my user account and went to two of kids and didn't have problem one so I know it's something I did accidently in preferences or something. It's probably one of those things when I find the answer I'm going to feel incredibly dumb by how easy the fix is. Thanks.

try going to Help>troubleshooting information>click the button to refresh firefox

That should rebuild your FF profile

crap, just remembered you cant get it to the foreground maximized... That won't work.

try holding down control+shift+space then right click on the firefox on the taskbar and choose maximize.

If that doesn't work close firefox from task manager and then hold down shift while launching firefox to launch it in safe mode. See if that helps.

I had that earlier this week - rebooting fixed it for me.

I tried rebooting. I tried an uninstall/reinstall. I tried all the suggestions. I went to other users and find it worked fine under there names. I've just started using explorer or Chrome until I can figure it out.

Found the problem. Error in uploading an update. Deleted program, cleared the cache and temporary files, and reloaded.
