11/21/2004 - 3/19/2015; it's with a heavy heart and swollen eyes I report that Hybrid Bisquit helped me with this today. He said he didn't feel worthy cause he saw Sharkey's first dove, and first Goose and every pass and title. Lots of good times and good friends and good dogs we shared lines and blinds and hunt test chores and drinks with along the way. Thanks to every one.

Dave,

I know all too well the feeling of a hole being ripped from your heart. All of the training and bonding over the course of a decade or more makes it feel as though you've lost a part of yourself. The more special the dog, the more painful the loss. Remember you gave your friend the best life a dog could ever have and you'll both meet again one day. Time will gradually ease the pain but the fond memories will only grow stronger.

I'll raise a glass tonight to Sharkey.....

Bill

Thanks all.

Funniest thing was Trav demonstrating when he ran, er , didn't run Sharkey for me. Apparently the inflection wasn't right on the whispered "Sharkey".

Then the deliberate thinker dog that would not budge when his name wasn't whispered just right, later at Mahannah made a nice retrieve on a long water go bird. . . . as the honor!!! LOL.

Oh well, he slow lined some blinds in tests meant to trick big dawgs, was a precision marker, and finished life off as a true lap dog, at the beach, honing his refrigerator breaking and entering skills :)

Besides being slow, and handsome, his greatest distinction was being one of the few HRCH dogs without a collar.
