For the docs on here, or anyone with a previous illness

Postby slave601 » Thu Feb 12, 2015 5:23 pm

Hate to ask here but I'm running out of options. Last week I started running a fever. About the 3rd day of on and off fever it got around 104 degrees. Wife said enough is enough it's time to go to the hospital. Along with my father in law being a surgeon they got me admitted right away. My fever broke Sunday night. Monday afternoon it jumped so high so fast my body started tingling and my hands and arms locked up. Worst pain I've ever felt. I actually hallusenated and literally lost my mind for a lil over an hour. I didn't know who me my wife or anyone was or where I was at. I was released Wednesday due to no high fever. Well I get home right back to fever. I've been tested for everything you can imagine. Now along with a lingering fever I have ulcers in my mouth along with swollen tonsils. I had no other symptoms before like coughing or stopped or runny nose. I've been tested for mono strep flu all kinds of bacteria and everything comes back negative. If anyone has ever had something similar please share or give opinions. Like I said I'm in need of help and all the doctors seem to be puzzled. Thanks

Have you been traveling in the past month or two? You may have been bitten by mosquito that is a carrier for something that is not in our region. Take florida for example compared to Mississippi. Similar diseases in both states, but Florida has a few more and they may not be testing for those.

I take vitamins everyday. Saw another doc got put on antibiotics. Really hoping for the best at this point because the doc today really didn't have a determined name for what I have. Guess I'll jus take the meds and hope I get better

Sounds viral and those antibx aren't going to help much in my opinion.. The viral crud that has been going around this yr has been really bad causing high fever, body aching and weakness along with common head cold symptoms.. If you really want to know you should see an Infectious Disease Specialist who deal specifically with infectious disease.. Hope you get to feeling better soon, these things have been taking up to 3-5 days to pass!!

Well I'm guessing it was a virus. All my tests came back negative and after about 10 days of having a fever it's finally gone away and I'm back normal lol. Thank you for all the pm' s and replies.
