Trapping

Postby jmh600 » Thu Feb 05, 2015 11:09 am

We've got plenty of beavers and I need something to do in February so I figured I'd trap beavers... Who traps? Can I sell the fur? Who do I sell it to? Pm me if you want. Thanks

Duke Pecan in West Point would buy them but the last time i checked it wasnt worth the trouble. The county NRCS office will sometimes put a bounty on them where you would have to bring them the tail, you may check with both of these places.

Bobcats are bringing a pretty good price this year, beaver aren't worth skinning unless you can turn them into one of the counties with a bounty.

most places buy the furs dried and fleshed. skinning / Drying / and fleshing is a ton of work. if you don't believe me try it for your self.
