I will be staring a new job in Jackson starting March 2nd and the wife and I are looking for a house to rent. We have 3 dogs(hers is tiny, I have a 13 yr old lab and 10 yr old Brittany). Several houses in North Place Subdivision in Madison that rent for less than $1500 with fenced yards.

Should be able to find something in Brandon for less than $1500 that are safe and with a fenced yard. It may be small and older though

Farmington Station had a few houses in brandon/flowood. I do not recall what they ran though. The extra $ to live in brandon/flowood/Madison is well worth it.

I lived off of Northside Drive in North Jackson for 2 years. My truck was broken into one time but that was the only incident we had. I now live in the castlewoods area and to say it feels much safer is an understatement. I know crime is everywhere but it's just a different feeling at night in jackson.

Most places for rent do not allow pets either. Madison has small houses for rent at this moment for $1200.
